Our label Golden Sound Records and The Record Machine have released a Record Store Day cross-label compilation on 12" vinyl, and we've got a new track on it. The split, called Secret Handshakes, contains unreleased material from six bands from each label. Our song "Heavily Drugged" is the fourth jam on the Golden Sound side. It's a live recording from our practice space that we went back and overdubbed vocals on. We're pretty happy with it, and this song will most likely end up on our next release in one form or another.

Secret Handshakes is currently only available on vinyl from Golden Sound Records and includes immediate downloads of all the tracks from the Golden Sound side. The vinyl includes a download card for both Golden Sound and Record Machine sides. It's an awesome compilation that we're proud to be on with some great artists in Kansas City.

April will be fairly busy for us and we'd like to update you on why.

On Thursday, April 5 we'll be playing at The Brick with labelmates Baby Teardrops and fellow Kansas Citians White Girl. The show starts at 9ish and is $5.

On Friday, April 6 we'll be playing at Westport Coffeehouse for Golden Sound Records' label showcase at Middle of the Map. It's part of the festival, so you'll need to get tickets on their website. It's gonna be a hoot.

On Wednesday, April 18 we are going to rock Riot Room with Springfieldians Truett & The Traitors and Captain’s Son.

And finally, to celebrate Record Store Day 2012, we'll be returning to The Brick to play magical songs with Soft Reeds, La Guerre, and Spirit Is The Spirit on April 21. We'll also have something special for you to consume...
